Advanced ‘phygital’ solutions, eco-friendly paper holograms, and innovations in tamper-evident technology will be the highlights of anti-counterfeiting solutions company Holostik at this year’s PackPlus show, scheduled to be held from 22 to 24 August 2024 in New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan.

This year at PackPlus, we are taking our offerings to the next level by introducing advanced phygital solutions that combine the strengths of physical and digital security. Along with our latest generation holograms and security labels, we are presenting our enhanced digital platforms for supply chain transparency, including upgraded traceability solutions with real-time analytics,” managing director Ankit Gupta said.

A major highlight this year, Gupta said, is the company’s new paper holograms, which offer an eco-friendly alternative while maintaining high security. Holostik is also introducing innovations in tamper-evident technology and personalized security features that are more adaptable and scalable for various industries.

Tackling fakes involves constant innovation as anti-counterfeiters are constantly trying to up the game. According to Gupta, tackling counterfeiting requires them to stay ahead of the curve through relentless innovation.

At Holostik, we are constantly evolving our security technologies by leveraging advanced materials and cutting-edge digital encryption. We focus on integrated solutions that not only protect the product but also engage the consumer in the verification process, creating multiple layers of security that are increasingly difficult for counterfeiters to breach.”

Over the past five years, Gupta said, there has been a significant shift in how brands approach the threat of counterfeiting. There’s a much greater awareness and proactive stance today. Brands are now more willing to invest in comprehensive anti-counterfeiting strategies that include both physical and digital measures.

They recognize that protecting their reputation and customer trust is paramount, and as a result, they are adopting more sophisticated solutions that offer end-to-end protection and real-time monitoring of their supply chains.”

At drupa, Holostik introduced its paper holograms, which stood out for their eco-friendly design and aligned with the event’s sustainability focus, he said.

Drupa 2024 met the company’s expectations, especially in terms of visitor engagement and business opportunities. “Despite a smaller crowd, the quality of leads was excellent, with targeted visitors having specific needs.”

The company signed several deals and initiated promising discussions, particularly in the MEA region, where its MiddleEast arm, Holoprint, drove significant business operations, he said.
