IARIGAI, the International Association of Research Institutes for the Graphic Arts Industry worldwide, and ERA, the international operating European Rotogravure Association, have started a partnership to support gravure technology and their members in connection with the next ‘iarigaiIC conference’ that will take place in Wuppertal in September this year.
The two organizations will work closely together in the sector of education and training and guarantee mutual support throughout their rotogravure activities.
IARIGAI and IC – the International Circle of Educational Institutes of Graphic-Media Technology and Management – are among the most prominent research and educational organizations for print media and packaging fields worldwide. iarigai/IC 2023 is a conference for sharing the latest insights of research as well as to experience the unique environment of Wuppertal, an industrial city in Germany.
Both organizations agree that at a time in which the gravure industry faces numerous challenges, the joining of forces of associations such as ERA and IARIGAI are of high importance for the industry and for research institutes in order to maximize the benefits that each part can render to the gravure community and the future generations.Â
Since its foundation in 1956, the European Rotogravure Association has developed into a leading international organization in the gravure industry. Its membership includes companies from the packaging, publication, and decorative printing sectors as well as associated industries such as paper and ink makers, printing and finishing equipment manufacturers, and leading cylinder engravers.
First established in 1965, IARIGAI was the outcome of a growing scientific and technological collaboration of graphic arts research institutes throughout the world. It exists for the exchange of knowledge for the benefit of the industry as a whole.
