Rajasekar, managing partner at Gupta Printers with the Heidelberg Suprasetter A106 CtP equipment

Established in 1950, Sivakasi-based Gupta Printers has invested in a Heidelberg Suprasetter A106 CtP. This acquisition marks the latest addition to investment by the company. The Suprasetter platesetter A106 CtP was installed to cater  their inhouse plate production.

“When we made the decision to bring our prepress production in-house, the choice was  clear – Heidelberg was our top preference,” remarked Rajasekar, partner at Gupta Printers.

Gupta Printers, a manufacturer and supplier of custom and printed boxes are known for their in-depth knowledge of raw materials. Gupta Printers is said to offer a complete packaging solution and is an ideal partner for companies that seek to outsource the packing and box design requirements. Gupta Printers manufactures printed cartons, packaging boxes, brochures, printed labels, sweet boxes, shirts, packaging, saree packaging, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and gift boxes.

Rajasekar said, “Currently, we are in the expansion mode, have shifted to our 15,000 square feet production facility and are looking forward to additional development.” The Sivakasi-based print specialist also owns a Heidelberg CD 102 Speedmaster 4 + L press and two die-cutter and cutting equipment on the shopfloor and caters to packaging jobs across various segments.

The Suprasetter offers a minimum plate format of 370 millimeter height × 323 millimeter width and internal  punch up to 4 pairs of punches. The Prinect Pre-Press Manager, Prinect Meta Dimension, and Prinect Shooter is integrated workflow in the Heidelberg Suprasetter A106.

The modular design of the Suprasetter A106 is said to supply maximum flexibility for the medium size format range. Their Intelligent Diode System (IDS) virtually eliminates production losses.  An integrated cooling system prevents adverse impacts from external temperatures.  Gupta Printers believes the investment will help them to fulfill the growing demand. “The  Heidelberg Suprasetter has enhanced our productivity to a larger scale,” concluded Rajasekar.
