Baumer India has come up with the new versions of the PX 1000-series – cold glue application head at Printpack 15. This is the next version of the PX-series, going up to 750 cycles per second, displaying cold and hot melt adhesive systems. The newly launched Tesla hot melt guns are also on show in their pavilion F20C in Hall 9B. Baumer, Germany is a global supplier of innovative adhesive application and quality control systems with headquarters in Krefeld. Baumer India, a subsidiary of the group, has its offices in Pune, well-equipped with a modern training and demonstration center.
The latest version of the ULD adhesive sensor, GDX 1000, performs the anti-glue function and detects where the glue is not required. Talking to IPP, Vaibhav Kulkarni, business head, gluing systems, acknowledges, ‘‘The company focuses on innovations and the quality of the product which can do best for the customer in the long run. Not focusing particularly on the cost, as other products in the market may provide cheaper solutions.’’ Discussing the technology shift, Dhananjay Jadhav, head technical, Baumer, says, “In India, the industry 4.0 norms are coming up, and we are delivering this ready technology for the core of the industry. We are giving customers all the related information and feedback for the sensors and glue application which customers can themselves take care of, ahead of regulations. Now people want adhesives and applications that are more reliable and faster to use.” Pan India, Baumer has more than 750 installations for folding cartons, the print finish industry, and corrugation.
