FlexoDelight HL 400 CI flexo press

Echaar Equipments organized an open house from 9-12 January at its Ambernath manufacturing unit near Mumbai to showcase the second-generation FlexoDelight CI flexo press along with a newly developed solventless laminator. FlexoDelight is part of a four-model range that includes the flagship FlexoMaster CI flexo press.

Kirti Panchal, managing director and the dynamic figure behind Echaar Equipments, shared insights during the open house event about the new press, the company’s latest technological advancements and its growth trajectory in the Indian and international markets.

Technological innovations and machine display

The FlexoDelight HL 400 CI flexo press that was displayed at the open house features a 1,300 mm width, enabling high production capacity. Panchal said FlexoDelight combines cutting-edge functionality with affordability, costing 40% less than comparable European machines.

An important milestone for Echaar was the integration of an in-house CI drum for the first time. The machine features advanced turrets, viscosity controllers, ink cooling, recirculation with LEL control, and the capability to perform splicing at 400 m/min, all of which were demonstrated during continuous runs at the open house.

“We have made significant improvements to the earlier FlexoDelight, including replacing the electrical panel with a modified container design. This is a fully loaded machine,” Panchal said.

Positive feedback and market recognition

Guests and visitors at the open house were impressed by the machine’s performance, with consistent quality output, fast job changeovers, and no shade variations. The press performed 30-micron LDP printing and reverse printing on 10-micron polyester.

Panchal stated, “The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Customers recognized the machine as a global-quality product. There are a few customers with whom we have held talks related to the new FlexoDelight.”

The response to the solventless laminator at the open house was very good, he added.

Expanding Installations and Orders

Echaar currently has three CI flexo presses installed in India and one stack flexo running at the customer’s end, with three more CI flexo presses in production. Among these, the FlexoDelight HL 400 displayed at the open house is set to be delivered to a Safeco Hygiene in Baroda. The second press in the pipeline will be delivered to a customer in India. Notably, the third CI flexo in production is designated for export to a customer overseas in an Asian country, marking Echaar’s first foray into international markets.

Echaar has also secured an order for a stack flexo press and a solventless laminator. These machines will be delivered in the coming months.

Optimism for the Future

Looking ahead, Panchal expressed strong optimism about the growth of the Indian CI flexo market, citing its adoption across diverse sectors such as hygiene, milk, oil, and laminates. He noted, “Indian companies are quick to embrace new technology. Our CI flexo machines offer cost savings, fast job changeovers, and are ideal for short to medium runs.”

With a robust pipeline of confirmed orders and continued R&D efforts, Echaar Equipments is poised to play a leading role in advancing India’s packaging industry and expanding its global footprint,” he added.
