Italian blown film extrusion lines manufacturer Macchi has installed a new line at Guangdong Airbaker New Material in China. The 9-layer system with a 3000mm layflat and a capacity of up to 700 kg/h can produce both barrier and non-barrier structures, the company, which has a strong presence in India with several notable installations, said in a LinkedIn post.
During the recent Chinaplas event in Shenzhen, Macchi invited a select group of customers from across Asia to visit its latest installation, located directly at the customer’s site in Guangdong province.
“The new line, installed at the facility of Guangdong Airbaker New Material Co. in 2025, is a 9-layer system with a 3000 mm layflat and a capacity of up to 700 kg/h. It can produce both barrier and non-barrier film with symmetric and asymmetric structures, as well as full PE films,” Macchi said in the LinkedIn post.
“Thanks to the kind hospitality of Mr. Xie, owner of Guangdong Airbaker New Material, Macchi had the opportunity to host an exclusive on-site event, where a group of domestic and international customers experienced the new line running in parallel with the existing Macchi 7-layer system, showcasing high-quality films for a broad range of applications.”
The visit also offered a glimpse of the new state-of-the-art factory, completed in record time and a true milestone for our partner, Macchi stated. “A remarkable success, celebrating and reaffirming a partnership between leading players, highlighted by the enthusiastic response from attendees.”
