Ahmedabad-based Acme Rolltech recently participated in two events for the packaging industry — Gulf Print Pack Dubai 2024 and the LMAI Conference in Bangalore, an event on sustainability and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).
Participating for the second time alongside its agent partner Fotedar Engg Services at the Dubai expo, Acme showcased its prowess in the Middle East market, where it initiated business in 2021. The rapid growth in the region was evident as the company expanded its customer base, particularly targeting narrow web labels and wide web CI flexo customers.
One of Acme’s standout features is its commitment to sustainability, aligning with its status as India’s leading manufacturer of ceramic anilox rolls & sleeves. The spotlight was on Acme’s Anilox Refurbishment Program (AreP).
Key highlights of AreP include flexibility in engraving options, reduced downtime, customization and upgrade, ensuring print results equivalent to new anilox, providing a warranty similar to new anilox, and substantial cost savings.
“As we take pride in saying that we are India’s pioneer manufacturer of ceramic anilox rolls & sleeves in India, we are also leading from the front in our sustainability strategy. Our AreP – anilox refurbishment program is one of the first in India and has unique advantages for our customers as well as for the environment,” said Sandeep Sharma, director, Acme Rolltech.
In Dubai, Acme engaged with a diverse audience across the Middle East. The company team not only met existing customers but also captured the attention of new ones. The highlight of the show was the recently launched ATAC 2.0 product, introduced at Label Expo Brussels.
Bangalore conference: LMAI conference on Sustainability and EPR
Shifting from Gulf Print Pack to the LMAI Conference in Bangalore, Acme’s engagement continued with a focus on sustainability and extended producer responsibility. The event resonated with Acme’s commitment to not only lead in manufacturing but also in adopting environmentally responsible practices, the company officials said.
According to Sharma, the conference theme, ‘Harmony with Earth, Progress for All,’ echoed the core principles of Acme’s sustainability strategy. At the conference, Sharma reiterated its dedication to a cleaner and greener future.
“The important takeaway for me from the conference on sustainability was the conference theme. Every organization is trying to ensure how they can implement sustainable processes so that we can give a better, clean and green future to our new generations,” he said.
