Mulch films being used for cultivation

At interpack 2017, the company will be showcasing two of its feature products—Safe & Secure POF shrink film and Support & Safeguard mulch film. POF shrink film is used by industries across the board, from food to electronics to furniture. “Mulch film is a new addition to our product portfolio. It is aimed at helping the agriculture industry increase its crop yield,” says Akshay Agarwal, director, Alpha Plastomers. The black and white mulch film guards cultivation from insects and weeds and also improves crop growth by preventing water and necessary nutrients from evaporating.

Agarwal informs that at interpack the company plans to meet various distributors and end customers from the packaging and agricultural sectors. Export market is something about which the company is very serious. It supplies to markets such as Europe, Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia. With an ambition of making a presence in the US market, Alpha participated in PackExpo Chicago for the first time last year.
Alpha also manufactures PET bottles but currently has no plans to bring those to the international market. “Currently, our PET solutions are targeted only to the Indian market,” he says. At interpack, Alpha Plastomers will be in Hall 7, Stand 72A37.
