A highlight of Brückner’s trade fair appearances this year is Plastindia in New Delhi – taking place from 1 to 5 February 2023. The focus will be on innovations for the growing technical film markets but also on the continuous demand for highly efficient packaging film production lines. Another important component of the company’s Plastindia presence is the discussion of concepts for the manufacture of advanced films for future market expectations and legal regulations.

High efficiency for future packaging film production

The speed and width of film stretching lines are the key parameters for high output and high efficiency. At Plastindia, Brückner will present corresponding new line concepts for the production of BOPP and BOPET packaging film production. Another aspect of efficient and higher output film stretching lines are their lower specific energy consumption.

Mono-material films – solutions for a circular economy

As mono-material packaging becomes more important, Brückner will show solutions for the state-of-the-art BOPP and BOPET materials as well as new opportunities with BOPE. These include PP mono-material applications, where complex laminates are substituted by all-polypropylene versions. The usage of recyclate PET made from post-consumer without any losses in quality, and Brückner’s unique BOPE/BOPP hybrid lines allow film producers to react and adapt swiftly and flexibly to market trends.

Innovations for packaging as well as technical film markets

India is experiencing a steadily growing demand for lines to manufacture specialty films, in particular for the rapidly growing eMobility sector. At the moment production lines for ultra-thin films for high-performance capacitors are already sought after and it can be easily foreseen that battery separator film lines for the lithium-ion battery industry will also be in demand sooner than later. Brückner will show the latest concept developments in this area and also for other technical applications such as solar back sheets, photovoltaic panels, high-performance optical films, or flexible and printed electronics.

Solutions for future requirements for sustainable films and packaging
In the future, societal expectations and legal regulations regarding recycling, circular economy, and sustainability, in general, will influence the plastics and packaging industry to a much greater extent – worldwide.

At Plastindia, Brückner is ready to discuss appropriate approaches and line concepts for the ultra-flexible manufacture of various film thicknesses, according to local demand or regulations. It can also discuss the manufacture of films with integrated functionalities such as traceability that ensure the complete documentation of packaging and its return to the circular economy. Films that are excellently prepared for efficient downstream converting steps will also be highlighted at the show.
