Mumbai-based Harman Packaging showcased its wide range of products for packaging of skincare and color cosmetics at the CosmoHome Tech expo held in Pragati Maidan in New Delhi from 26-27 June 2024. In skin care, the company displayed products related to the packaging of serums, essential oils, and creams while in color cosmetics, it displayed products for the packaging of nail polish, liquid lipsticks, and lipsticks.

Harman Packaging was founded in 1983 to become a packaging supplier to the cosmetics industry. The company manufactures and exports cosmetic and packaging accessories such as nail art brushes, nail polish brushes, closures, nail polish glass bottles, eyeliner brushes, pharmaceutical droppers, amber glass bottles for cosmeceuticals and pharmaceuticals, aroma and diffuser packaging, and stainless steel balls.

The company is presently exporting to 80-plus countries across the globe from North America, South America, and South East Asia. “We provide a one-stop solution for cosmetics packaging and all the decoration that goes along with that packaging such as printing, screen printing, metalizing, heat transfer, hot stamping and customized coatings,” Gaurav Singh Chaddah, business development manager at Harman Packaging, told Packaging South Asia.

The cosmetics packaging industry in India is very nascent, and there is a lot of scope and development. It’s a growing industry and there will be more growth in the upcoming years, he said.

A lot of different colors, coating and customization with an idea to segregate your brand from the rest of the market is the strategy of most cosmetics brands, Chaddah said, adding the cosmetics industry is growing due to which many startups and contract manufacturers are entering the market.

The response at CosmoHome Tech has been good, but it included more small clients, smaller startups, and less corporate clients, he concluded.
