Vadodara-based Decorative Sleeves, known for its production of shrink sleeves and heat transfer labels, showcased its extensive product range at the Plastivision 2023 expo held in Mumbai in early December. With its office and manufacturing unit in Vadodara, the company provides packaging materials to leading consumer brands both in India and overseas. Approximately 80% of its business is derived from the Indian market, while the remaining 20% comes from exports to the Middle East and African markets. Notably, Decorative Sleeves is gearing up to venture aggressively into the in-mold label (IML) space.
Aseem Shahani of Decorative Sleeves highlighted the company’s expertise in printing and manufacturing shrink sleeves and heat transfer labels, emphasizing its upcoming entry into IML. Shahani stated, “We supply shrink sleeves and heat-sensitive labels to all major consumer goods brands. At Plastivision 2023, we are promoting and displaying all the types of solutions that we provide.”
Discussing the strategic decision to enter the IML segment, Shahani described it as a natural extension of Decorative Sleeve’s existing product line. “IML is an extension of our current product line. The segment is witnessing strong growth in India, and we want to capitalize on this growth,” he explained.
Plastivision 2023 – a great experience
Reflecting on the experience at Plastivision 2023, Shahani expressed satisfaction with the heavy footfall at the company’s stand, and the overall positive reception by visitors. “The show was very good, and we met many colleagues from the packaging industry. The Indian packaging industry is growing very fast, and we could feel the excitement among the visitors. The outlook for the industry in the next three to five years is very bright,” he concluded.
