Ahmedabad-based Acme Rolltech, a prominent player in the anilox rolls and sleeves industry, marked its debut at drupa this year. This year’s drupa is significant as it takes place after almost eight years. Initially slated for 2020, the event had to be postponed due to the global pandemic.
Sandeep Sharma, director of Acme Rolltech, views this delay as a blessing in disguise for the company. “Given the heightened brand visibility and global market acceptance and recognition we have garnered in the interim, the delay was a blessing in disguise for us. After five years in business, we are a much more confident company and ready to showcase ourselves at such a prestigious event,” he says.
drupa holds substantial promise for Acme Rolltech, as the company aims to solidify its position as the global supplier of ‘Made in India’ anilox rolls and sleeves across all segments. Sharma emphasizes, “We are an established player now in the industry. People acknowledge us as a global player. The industry knows about our company, what we are doing, and how we are doing. And coming into drupa, we had certain strategies and thinking in mind. We are doing very well in India, and we are also doing well in exports.”

Exports
Acme Rolltech places a significant focus on global markets, with its biggest export markets currently being the Middle East and Latin America.
Sharma notes, “Middle East and Latin America are our biggest markets. We are growing exponentially in Russia and Africa as well. Our target is to expand into the European as well as US markets. By participating in Label Expo Thailand, we have benefited a lot. Now we have agent partners in Thailand and Indonesia. So, Southeast Asia is also growing.
