At drupa 2024, the Romanengo, Italy-based Ferrarini & Benelli will display its newest solutions in the field of Corona and Plasma treatment systems. At Hall 10, stand C20, Ferrarini & Benelli will display its Polimetal and Format surface treatment systems in the field of Corona treatment.
Polimetal is the universal corona treatment system ideal for any converting application (coating, laminating, flexo and gravure printing, extrusion coating) and for treating both conductive and non-conductive substrates, including plastic and metallized films, paper, aluminium foil and laminates. Polimetal is equipped with special ceramic-coated electrodes and roller and it is designed to facilitate film threading and routine maintenance. The Polimetal line comes with four different models, available in the one and double sided version.
The newest solution Ferrarini & Benelli will display is the Format treatment system specifically designed to treat individual sheets of different format (size and thickness), ideal for laboratory applications or to optimize treatment for manufacturers who need to print on small batches of previously manufactured substrates, where treatment reinstatement is key to allow printing. Format allows treating both conductive and non-conductive substrates in different formats: A0, A1, A2, A3 and A4.
During the exhibition, the visitors will be able to have their substrate samples tested with the Format system by the Ferrarini & Benelli team.
Plasma treatment
Ferrarini & Benelli will also display In Air Plasma, the plasma treatment system specifically designed for folder-gluer lines applications. The system comprises a generator with integrated transformer and a nozzle to discharge plasma. During the exhibition, the nozzle will be mounted on the laboratory’s robot, used to reproduce the power and speed features of the customer’s line and determine treatment parameters.
In Air Plasma optimizes the hold of the glue and allows to manufacture high quality boxes for a variety of ends in the packaging sector. In Air Plasma for folder-gluer lines is also available with two nozzles for multiple gluing points.
