At drupa, Naresh Khanna, editor of Packaging South Asia in his video filming took viewers to the UFlex Group stand in hall 9. He interacted with Anantshree Chaturvedi, vice chairman and CEO of Flex Films International (part of the Indian MNC group for packaging solution requirements). Uflex had brought its Elisa 1308 CI flexo press, its CAMCO Excel 1300 Combi laminator, and a model of its advanced ReLAM recycling machine to the drupa stand.
At its stand, several businesses and divisions of UFlex, including engineering, holography, packaging films, chemicals, cylinder and flexo sleeve prepress, exhibited their solutions for the printing and packaging industry. “The Elisa 1308 CI Flexo was launched in 2018, and since then, we have had a successful run,” Chaturvedi said. “We are excited to showcase its continued success and our latest advancements in engineering excellence, alongside other businesses.”

According to him, the CI flexo press is designed to address the pressing need for printing low-gauge and thin-gauge flexible films with precision and accuracy, thereby offering sustainable options for flexible packaging. In the video walkthrough of the stand, Chaturvedi said the ‘Made in India’ press serves the high-performance and cost-efficient markets. “Optimized production and optimized quality with minimum downtime and changeover time are the special features of this press. After its initial launch, we took on redesigning and reconfiguring many aspects of the press. As it stands now, it is the pinnacle of our engineering division. The Indian engineering diaspora is evolving greatly, prompting us to up our game too.”
UFlex’s chemical business showcased its water-based inks and adhesives designed to elevate sustainability in printing and associated processes at the stand. The holography business showcased the company’s industry-leading brand protection and anti-counterfeit solutions.

The printing cylinders business presented technologically advanced printing cylinders at the show and the Afflatus business highlighted its production of flexo sleeves – a first in the country. While the cylinders offer customized printing solutions for a wide range of materials, including various types of fabric and hard materials like PVC, the new flexo sleeves provide many quality and material savings with their gapless printing capability on modern CI flexo presses.
Chaturvedi said, “We are proud to be at the forefront of innovation and customer-centricity in the global printing and packaging industry. Our innovative solutions reflect our commitment to sustainability and enhancing efficiency for customers. We are excited to be at drupa and look forward to fostering collaboration and driving innovation and sustainability.”
UFlex’s business ethos revolves around innovation with a clear focus on sustainability. With its advanced solutions, the company aims to spearhead industry-wide reductions in waste and production costs while advancing toward a circular economy. The company’s commitment to environmental responsibility aligns with its intention to achieve carbon neutrality by 2035, enabling sustainable packaging solutions and contributing to a responsible and green future.
