Fosber’s participation at IndiaCorr Expo 2021
Deepak Singh, senior manager of Fosber Asia, explaining about the corrugated machine lines at its IndiaCorr Expo 2021 stand in Greater Noida

Fosber Asia, is a part of the Italy headquartered Fosber Group, a global supplier for the design, construction, and installation of machines and complete lines for producing corrugated board. Known for delivering the world’s best machinery for corrugated packaging, the company recently participated in the IndiaCorr Expo in Greater Noida in the Delhi NCR. This was the company’s second time participation at this exhibition.

In its second time participation at the IndiaCorr Expo, Fosber gave us a few details of its newly developed Elines corrugating machine, produced after market research by its team in the country which shows that the local demand was for lower speed machines than are generally sold globally. Deepak Singh, senior manager of Fosber Asia, spoke about the exhibition “Of course, Covid-19 has affected many companies, but the demand has grown in the corrugated industry. As compared to Corr Expo 2019, we have received more response from interested people this time. The reason is that in 2019, the visitors we met were from different industries, not particularly from the packaging industry. So, for us, it’s a great event and pleasure to be here at IndiaCorr Expo in India.”

Detailing of different corrugated lines from Fosber Asia

The company’s corrugated lines vary in their production speeds – the ELines run at 180 meters a minute; the CLines  at 250 to 320 meters a minute; the ProLines which run at 270 to 320 meters a minute; and, the  SLines at 370 to 420 meters a minute.

Singh explained, “In 2019 IndiaCorr Expo, the first time, we came to India, we were having the products that were over specified according to the Indian market, and the local corrugated industry was focused on comparatively lower volumes, rather than the machines we used to produce which were meant for high volumes.

Fosber’s recently developed ELines have been specifically designed to serve a market of 3,500 tonnes or 4,000 metric tons which is a common requirement from Indian industry. We are more ready to launch this new product to the Indian market, and this product is completely made by Fosber.”

He concluded the conversation by highlighting the company’s effort and achievements during the pandemic, “The pandemic has affected the people as it took so many lives, however looking towards the packaging industry, it has been growing. Even during the Covid time, Fosber utilized its time in the research and development of new products. We also performed more installations in the previous two years in comparison to past years. During this period, we also enriched our knowledge on industry 4.0, which means artificial intelligence-enabled machines.”
