Starting as a distributor of Sakurai for screen printing, Kunal Enterprise has diversified itself into different segments. At present, it is providing solutions for the glass, printed electronics, and packaging industries, textiles, ceramics, security industries, and more.

The team of Kunal Enterprise was present at Pamex 2024 to promote innovative printing inks, graphics, foiling, and other add-ons that can enhance products.

Kunal Gandhi, joint managing director of Kunal Enterprise, said, “Our product portfolio is much more than packaging and commercial printing. It is about adding functionality to products.” He says printing ink on paper is very basic at the moment. One of the team members explained that the company focuses on printing functional stuff such as conductive inks on paper and plastics.

In the packaging segment, Kunal Enterprise has tied up with Saralon GmbH, which works on the development of functional and conductive inks as well as ready-to-use printed electronic boards for specific applications.

Dispensing color onto print is not the future. But rather, dispensing futuristic inks that can add functionality to your day-to-day life products is the future,” Gandhi said. At the exhibition, the team received inquiries about graphics and foiling.

On the industry scenario, Gandhi said it is a developing market. “We have to be present in 3-4 more Pamex and Pamex-like exhibitions to reach our goal of shifting the industry to futuristic inks, and other add-on solutions.”

Gandhi said, “SaralLight from Saralon creates interactive packaging, point-of-sale, print media, and label applications. It enhances light-emitting packaging, which is our new USP.” Pointing at the light-emitting packaged products on display at the stand, he said it is a major addition to the luxury packaging segment.

Summarizing his experience at the exhibition, Gandhi said, “We were at the exhibition to create awareness. To a certain extent, we have achieved it.”
