At Plastindia 2015, Kohli Industries showed its new solvent-less lamination machine called Gaia which means the goddess of earth in Greek. This new range of solvent-less laminators are pollution free with zero solvent fumes, low energy consumption and thus a cleaner working environment. In this range, the company is offering two models – the Gaia AR 360 having a production speed of 300 metres a minute and the Gaia AR 450 with a speed of 400 metres a minute. At the company’s stand at Plastindia the Gaia AR 360 was displayed. Moreover, Kohli Industries promoted its other range of machines – rotogravure printing presses, solvent-based laminators, water-based laminators, combination of solvent, water and solvent-less laminators and slitter-rewinders.

The company stand saw a large number of visitors from both India and abroad. “The response we have received at Plastindia has been beyond our expectations. It has been overwhelming as everyone who we have met is a serious player. We have interacted with potential customers from India as well as over seas. We met with visitors from Nigeria, South Africa, Middle East, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, to name just a few,” said Kaku Kohli, director, Kohli Industries.

Talking about the Gaia range, Kohli said that since the launch in late 2014, they have received an amazing response from customers world wide. About plans for the current year in terms of new products, Kohli informed that the company would be launching some machines focussed towards the middle to high-end converters in May and June 2015. Among the new launches would be two gravure presses, a solvent-less laminator and a slitter-rewinder. “We will be organizing two open houses laterin May and June to launch these new products,” Kohli concluded.
