Daman-based Aristo Eco Pack has made a strategic investment in a ZD-450NB automatic paper bag-making machine from NBG Printographic, a move announced during the Pamex 2024 exhibition held in Mumbai in early February.
The machine’s unique feature allows the production of paper bags with flat handles in overfold or upright configurations.
Highlighting the machine’s overfold feature, Kaushil Shah of Aristo Eco Pack said, “The flat handle in the overfold feature of the machine is amazing. Because the handle is folded inside, it reduces your transit cost. Plus, you get more storage. You can add 30% additional volume into the container. The machine is fully automatic, which ensures consistent quality throughout. These types of paper bags are mainly for exports.”
Shah emphasized the growing demand for paper bags, foreseeing a complementary relationship between paper and plastic packaging. Aristo Eco Pack’s product range, including mailer bags and SOS bags with barrier applications, caters to various needs, including food product supplies and deliveries in India and the export market.
“Fashion brands such as H&M and Zara would be the target customers. All fashion brands, big retailers, food service deliveries, everyone. If it’s a white paper bag with value-added fancy printing, we can do that. This will be for the higher segment of the market,” Shah said.
Discussing the ZD-450NB’s features, Shah highlighted its versatility in accommodating different sizes, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. “The biggest paper bag the machine can make is 230 mm, which is big. It can accommodate all your cake boxes and sweet boxes. It can do smaller bags as well, which can accommodate your garments and everything. The inside fold, which is in a flat handle, is the biggest advantage,” Shah concluded.
Aristo Eco Pack says the investment underscores its commitment to innovation and efficiency in meeting the evolving demands of the packaging industry.
