Hyderabad-based Avonflex, a provider of flexible packaging and printing solutions for the food, agro, pharma, and FMCG industries, highlighted its rotogravure printed stand-up pouches, at ProPak 2024 in Bangalore.

On the importance of exhibitions, Aditya Atasniya, marketing head at Avonflex, said, “Exhibitions are a great platform to connect with customers in one place. They strengthen relationships and pave the way for new business opportunities.”

The company, which began operations in 1995, moved into flexible packaging in 2011. Along with flexible laminates in its roster, Avonflex says it is all equipped to deliver center seal pouches, side gusset pouches, vacuum pouches, spout pouches, 3 side seal pouches, retort pouches among others.

During an interaction at ProPak, Atasniya emphasized the critical role of stand-up pouches in product success. “Packaging serves as the first impression for a product. It’s what attracts the customer and compels them to pick it up from the shelf,” he explained. “For startups especially, if the packaging is not visible and not standing out, there’s no point, in how good your product is.”

Atasniya noted that the market is increasingly moving towards stand-up pouches, which combine convenience with visual appeal. Looking ahead, he sees flat-bottom pouches as the future of packaging, widely used in the export market but slowly gaining attention in the Indian market.

Avonflex recently installed a flat-bottom pouching machine from Zhoutai. Apart from expanding its pouching capabilities, Avonflex is exploring new market segments. “Our main focus is to get into value-added products and specialized products where we can provide all possible kinds of solutions for our customers,” he said.

In an earlier conversation Ritesh Atasniya, director of Avonflex, had informed us that the company plans to move toward digital packaging, the current trend in the packaging industry.
