X-Rite, a global leader in color science and technology, and its subsidiary Pantone, will demonstrate its latest color management solutions at K 2016, the largest global gathering of the plastic and rubber industry to be held from 19 to 26 October in Düsseldorf, Germany. X-Rite Pantone located in Hall 8b Stand H65 will feature the theme ‘Color as You Imagined It’ and showcase four Inspiration Zones that address the specific color needs and requirements for design, development, formulation, production and quality control professionals.
“X-Rite Pantone is unique in the industry in its ability to deliver integrated, end-to-end color solutions for the plastics industry sourced from a single supplier,” said Chris Winczewski, vice president of product marketing, X-Rite Pantone. “Visitors to our stand at K 2016 will be able to quickly and easily focus in on their specific requirements and speak to color experts who can guide them to the best solutions for their color workflows.”
Each of the X-Rite Pantone Inspiration Zones feature solutions to help designers, compounders, manufacturers and other suppliers specify, communicate, formulate and control color quality. This helps companies improve overall quality and batch-to-batch consistency reducing waste and rework, speeding time to market and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Design
The focus of this zone is to help designers take advantage of the latest color trends, capture color inspiration and select colors that can be accurately achieved across all desired substrates. Using digital color communications and spectral data helps eliminate color miscommunication, improve approval processes and ensure color accuracy in the end product. Featured solutions will comprise Capsure, Pantone Color Guides and SpectraLight QC light booth.
Develop and formulate
To help companies create, formulate and match color palettes, X-Rite Pantone offers a complete suite of color matching and quality control solutions for accurate color analysis and cost efficient color formulation. Using spectrophotometers and software, companies can simplify the formulation of master standards, optimize the use of colorants, reuse leftover materials and reduce approval cycles. Featured solutions will include Color iMatch, Ci7x00 benchtop spectrophotometer, MA9x, Ci6x, and 964 45°/0° spectrophotometer.
Produce
In manufacturing, continuous monitoring of color makes it easier to ensure consistent and accurate color through the production workflow. This zone will focus on helping manufacturers deliver against color expectations, minimize errors and improve efficiencies by reducing rework and waste. X-Rite Pantone will showcase how offline and in-line color measurement solutions can deliver quality statistics proactively and, in the case of in-line solutions, can often correct color issues before they are even visible to the human eye. VS450, VeriColor and ERX130 solutions will be displayed.
Quality control
In the final step of the production workflow, having the right set of software and measurement instruments in place to ensure that customer expectations are met is critical. Quality control professionals can monitor color quality in real time to demonstrate color accuracy and reduce product rejects. Data can be shared with customers and other suppliers to validate performance. Featured solutions will include Color iMatch, Color iQC, NetProfiler, and a range of range of handheld and benchtop spectrophotometers.
