Aahar

The 36 Aahar exhibition at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, took place from 26-30 April 2022 with a large footfall. ITPO organized the inauguration ceremony on Tuesday, during which Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal arrived. Unfortunately, on the first day of the exhibition, every visitor and exhibitor got to witness the chaos and mess or disorganization. The counters were not ready, litter was spread everywhere, dust was in the air, and no covid protocols were there. Exhibitors were contributing from worldwide, and they were very keen to exhibit, but after looking at the condition of the hall, everybody was upset. This exhibition is all for food manufacturer and importers, and despite being in the food industry cleanliness is a key clearly missing. Aahar exhibition was organized after a gap of 2 years at Pragati Maidan in Delhi. Aahar was to be held in February this year, but due to covid-19, it was postponed to March and then to April.

Companies from 11 countries participated

At the trade fair, not only Indian companies but different government sector associations from 11 countries brought their products for display, including Austria, Canada, Estonia, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, UAE, UK, US, and Oman. Along with this, the number of exhibitors at the Aahar exhibition has also increased compared to 2020. Erstwhile, 750 exhibitors had reached the fair in 2020, but now 1125 exhibitors are participating in the fair in 2022. Along with this, the area for the fair has also been increased by ITPO. Earlier it was organized in 40,000 square meters, but now in 2022, this fair was held in 70,000 square meters. Stalls of food products, beverages, hospitality solutions, dairy products, and agri-products have been set up at Aahar
