The G7 Live events being organized by Idealliance India, a division of IppStar, are attracting a good number of brand owners, printers and converters to the demonstrations and basic training programmes featuring Steve Smiley in December. Mumbai seems to be the hotter destination with 37 persons already confirmed for the liveG7 demonstration at Parksons Graphics in Andheri on 12 December. The basic training in Mumbai to be conduct- ed on the morning of 11 December at the Pamex Exhibition site has 36 confirma- tions. Confirmations include Himalaya Drug, Godrej, Jabong, Pernod Ricard, Oylmpus Premedia, manroland, Repro India, Balodyan Press and New Jack Printing amongst others.

For the G7 Live! demonstration at Kumar Printers in Manesar in December there are 25 registrations thus far with atleast another 10 expected to join. Forthe basicG7 training on 7 December a similar number is expected to take part. The Manesar-Delhi participants include Ranbaxy, LT Foods, Surya Fresh Foods and Reddington.

Idealliance India is bringing back G7 expert Steve Smiley who has helped consumer product companies, printers and suppliers assure and achieve brand consistency in several countries. A leading color standardization and color management practitioner, Smiley has worked with Kraft Foods, Coca Cola Del Monte Foods, Coke, Pepsi, Diageo and Hershey to establish brand standards and supply chain protocols. He is also active in the development of global packaging standards and ISO print standards as the current Chair of Print Properties US, Co-Chair CGATS, Chair of GWG Colour Committee, ICC member and the ISO TC130 US flexo expert.

As a follow-up to the successful G7 brand owner and converter seminars in Delhi and Mumbai in February 2015, Steve Smiley will conduct both linear and calibrated press runs in two printing plants with invited guests including leading brand owners, printers and packaging converters. The press runs at Kumar Printers on 6 December (Sunday) will be followed by a G7 Basic Training at the Habitat Centre on the morning of 7 December.

On 11 December the half-day G7 Basic Training will take place at the BEC in Mumbai at a cost of Rs. 1,000 (Rs. 500 for Idealliance India members) and a certificate of attendance will be given. On 12 December linear and calibrated print runs on a multicolor offset and a digital press will be done at Parksons Graphics in Andheri in Mumbai. The G7 standardization will be open to brand owners, packaging converters and printers by invitation.
