A division of MBR Group, Ahmedabad-based MBR Flexibles has bolstered its printing and production of labels and flexible packaging solutions to a whole new level with the company’s back-to-back investments in two Mark Andy flexographic presses from Flexo Image Graphics (FIG).

The Mark Andy 2200 and the Mark Andy Evolution Series E5 are the two flexo presses which have changed the game for MBR Flexibles’ label printing. The reason for specifically opting for the Mark Andy presses, Sahil Chopra, director of MBR Flexibles, says, “Over the years, or say decades, we have carved out a reputation for ourselves in the industry as a provider of quality products printed and produced using best-in-class machines and equipment. For this reason, the Mark Andy machines meet our standards.”

Established in the 1960s, MBR Group has been in business of dye-chemicals, textile auxiliaries, and bulk intermediates. In 2010, the group set up the MBR Flexibles division for exclusive engagement in flexible packaging manufacturing and high-end label printing in two production units. “The two Mark Andy presses in our facility are ideal for handling all kinds of high-end labels of all standards which we produce for our highly quality-conscious clients from different sectors,” mentions Chopra.

He adds, “In fact, our back-to-back installations of the Mark Andy 2200 and Mark Andy Evolution Series E5 have dawned a new phase for us to cater to a newer range of products such as shrink sleeves, and in-mold labels (IML). Moreover, these two highly advanced flexographic presses significantly boost flexibility in our overall production of premium quality labels and flexible packaging solutions.”

Prior to the two Mark Andy presses, MBR Flexibles had invested in other machines from FIG, including a Rhyguan SMART 450 slitter-rewinder. “We just have booked yet another Rhyguan SMART 450 HMS inspection rewinder from FIG. It’s been great to partner with them for years with all these highly efficient and productive machines,” shares Chopra.

With a team of 200, MBR Flexibles is managed by directors Sahil and Yash Chopra, who spearhead the division’s label printing unit, and directors Siddharth, Sagar and Mohit Chopra, who take care of the flexible packaging manufacturing unit. The company says it produces cost-effective, durable, and sustainable labels as well as flexible packaging solutions for clients who are predominantly in the food and beverage sectors.
