Folding carton packaging giant Parksons Packaging took part at the CPHI & PMEC India 2024 in November for the first time – displaying its range of cartons, innovative and sustainable solutions and security features of its products to combat counterfeiting.

Parksons showcased monocarton solutions in various shapes and sizes for primary and secondary packaging of pharma applications.

In a conversation with Packaging South Asia, Shailesh Potdar, CMO of the Mumbai-headquartered company, said while Parksons has the biggest market share of monocartons in India, exports constitute 20% of its total sales. With a manufacturing unit in Africa, it provides packaging solutions to Africa, the Gulf, and many of India’s neighbors. Most of them are direct sales and some through third parties.

Potdar said expansion plans are in the works following consolidation in the last few years but did not divulge details. He said there is still some time before the company reveals its big plans.

The CPHI & PMEC India show was a branding exercise for the company to display its additional offerings for the pharma industry and to get a better understanding of latest trends and innovations.

Though it was the first time we participated in this show, the response was tremendous. More than a branding exercise, it became a show to foster a better network and learn how we could improve our offerings for the industry.”
