Mumbai-based Brilliant Polymers was featured on the list of the country’s 100 fastest-growing companies for the second straight year. The list has been compiled by The Economic Times and its research partner, Statista.

Brilliant Polymers said it prides itself on its ability to move quickly to respond to customer needs. Strong emphasis is placed on maintaining an efficient feedback loop whereby new information is used to drive strategic decision-making and quick response times.

Brilliant is a leader in laminating adhesives for flexible packaging. Its solutions include a comprehensive range of solvent-based and solvent-free adhesives. End-use applications include food, consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, and other industrial applications.

The company’s business model encompasses geographical diversification in the form of countrywide and international depots and stock points to mitigate regional risks. Managing Director Gaurav Talwar says, “This has enabled us to maintain steady and timely supplies of our adhesives to customers throughout the COVID-19 pandemic despite localized restrictions.”

The company is constantly reassessing supply chains to protect against a broader and more acute range of potential shocks. “We have acted quickly to rebalance our global supply chain as new technologies, and consumer-demand patterns encourage regionalization of supply.”

Brilliant’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Maharashtra is capable of handling batch sizes of up to 30 tonnes. All production processes are fully automated, thereby ensuring that consistency is maintained in every batch. An in-house R&D facility is constantly working to create new products and replicate those in production. A technical services team is on hand to ensure smooth commissioning of products at customers’ plants.

Quality is rigorously monitored at every stage in the production process by a comprehensively equipped Quality Control Lab. In addition, a library of retained samples is maintained and routinely checked over time together with statistical data on the specifications of every product.

The company has warehouses in Maharashtra and stock points throughout the country and many parts of the world. Along with its logistics system, it ensures timely supplies to customers.
