Plastech
A.B. Plastech's infrared rotary crystalizer and dryer cryst-o-dry.

A.B. Plastech is a small-time plastic processor and manufacturer of labyrinth seals using PA6 for conveyors and idler rollers. Participating for the first time at Indiaplast, which will take place at Expo Centre in Greater Noida between 28 February and 4 March 2019, the company will exhibit its pioneering product that is India’s first indigenously developed infrared rotary crystallizer and dryer cryst-o-dry.

The Bahadurgarh, Haryana based company has designed and developed the commercially viable dryer, which not only dries but also crystallizes polymers. The work on the project commenced in August 2016 and finally, after extensive trials and experiments, the product is ready for launch at Indiaplast 2019. The company owns one Indian patent (Patent No 29057) and two designs (Design registration No. 286051 and 286588) registered in the name of its sole proprietor, Balraj Pawar.

Cryst-o-dry is a unified system to simultaneously crystallize and dry amorphous PET flakes. It has a patented rotary drum with multiple heating zones for continuous motion of a material. Infrared heating drastically reduces processing time, which preserves intrinsic properties of PET. It’s efficient, quick and cost effective compared to desiccant-based conventional systems. It also offers regulated throughput and residence time. Additionally, its energy consumption and maintenance cost is low, resulting in high ROI. With a compact and ergonomic design, it requires shorter start-up and lead time.

This technology efficiently recycles PET and thus ensures that PET usage forms a closed material cycle eventually saving valuable resources such as crude oil and reducing India’s carbon and virtual water footprint.

Balraj Pawar, chief executive officer of A.B. Plastech says, “Indiaplast 2019 will provide a positive environment for clients and exhibitors to engage efficiently. It is a perfect opportunity to showcase our new product to a large number of exhibitors and visitors from various fields of plastics manufacturing under a single roof. The networking and the interaction at the expo will propel our product’s growth and sale.”

The company is expecting to sell 1-3 infrared rotary crystallizer and dryers. Aiming to meet the companies using PET (both virgin and recycled) for manufacturing various plastic products, the company will exhibit in Hall 5, Stand B-12 at India Expo Centre and Mart, Greater Noida.
