a leading manufacturer of equipment for producing plastic woven fabrics and woven sacks
Lohia Starlinger Ltd. (LSL), a leading manufacturer of equipment for producing plastic woven fabrics and woven sacks, has announced a technical collaboration with Techne Technipack Engineering Italia Spa (Techne), a leading international manufacturer of extrusion blow-moulding machines. The announcement was made during Plastindia 2009 held in New Delhi between the 4th and 9th of February 2009.

LSL has signed an exclusive technical license agreement with Techne for the manufacture, assembly, testing, delivery and servicing of sophisticated multi-cavity, multi-layer extrusion blow moulding machines using the latter’s know-how. Techne is a Euro 31 million Italian company based in Bologna and has been in business for 23 years. It has over 900 installations in 60 countries and exports 89 per cent of it’s output. LSL is India’s leading supplier of equipment for manufacturing plastic woven fabrics and woven sacks with a market share of over 60 per cent; they also have installations in 60 countries worldwide.

Under the terms of the agreement, LSL will manufacture the System 4000 S/T 470 series of machines in single and double shuttle versions. The machines can turn out monolayer HDPE/PP or multi-layer (LDPE-HDPE-PP with clarifying agent) blow-moulded containers in capacities ranging from 125 ml to 5,000 ml. This series represents Techne’s highest selling range of EBM machines. The containers will primarily be targeted at the aseptic milk segment. The machines will be branded as Lohia Techne. Lohia Starlinger were displaying a running model of the 4000 S 470 turning out HDPE bottles for flavoured milk at their stand at Plastindia 2009.
