Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, events and exhibitions have been cancelled and travel has been reduced to bare minimum. Many machine manufacturers across the globe have been launching their new solutions online via webinars or live events. With this virtual show, Nordmeccanica presented a Triplex lamination in a single pass, performed live. The program included the demonstration of the Triplex One Shot running a 3-ply structure and in a second run the same machine presented in duplex mode featuring the Dow Symbiex adhesive lamination. During the show, the company ran a polyester aluminium foil PE structure. The machine’s washing system takes only 80 seconds, 5-liters of acetone to clean entire web path. The machine has been fully built at Nordmeccanica and was tested at a customer’s facility near the factory.
The demonstrations were rounded up with a live run of solvent based adhesives running on the newly developed Super Combi 5000. Nordmeccanica also talked about its collaboration with Germany’s Henkel through which it has developed various barrier structures. Nordmeccanica and Henkel have been working under the BarrEnhanceTech Alliance.
A similar web event was organized by the company on 7 July where Nordmeccanica showcased Simplex SL e800 laminator. This laminator has been developed in collaboration with HP Indigo, and is optimized for use with the HP Indigo 20000 digital press. At drupa, the Simplex SL e800 laminator was also supposed to be demonstrated at HP’s drupa stall.
