Toppan’s Niigata Plant Awarded Platinum Status in RBA VAP Audit

Toppan, a Toppan Group company and wholly owned subsidiary of Toppan Holdings, has achieved Platinum Status, the highest level of recognition, in the responsible business alliance (RBA) validated assessment program (VPA) audit at its Niigata Plant, which manufactures FC-BGA substrates and LCD color filters.

The RBA is an international industry coalition centered on the electronic device sector that drives its member companies to fulfill their social responsibility by building sustainable supply chains. It has established a code of conduct to ensure safe working environments, dignity and respect for workers, environmental responsibility, and ethical business practices. In VAP audits, third-party audit firms assess whether the operations of companies are conducted properly, based on the standards set out in the RBA code of conduct.

Toppan’s Niigata Plant produces advanced electronics products for the global market and strives for continuous improvement of the supply chain. These efforts have resulted in Toppan achieving Platinum Status with a maximum score of 200 in the audit categories of labor, health and safety, environment, ethics, and supply chain management, demonstrating a robust commitment to satisfying customer requirements based on the RBA code of conduct.

Aiming to maximize both corporate and social value, Toppan will contribute to a sustainable future by integrating the Sustainable Development Goals into its business activities to respond to the expectations and trust of stakeholders and fulfill its social responsibility and mission.
