Rajkot-based Sanraj Polyprinters is a leading multi-layer flexible packaging converter recognized and certified for its quality solutions. With an annual capacity of 15,000 metric tons of packaging materials, the company is committed to sustainable and versatile packaging options.

Its current mission focuses on revolutionizing the industry by delivering eco-friendly solutions that preserve product integrity and contribute to a greener planet. Powered by cutting-edge technology and its dedicated team, new benchmarks in quality and sustainability are sought. The innovative solutions of the future must redefine both convenience and environmental responsibility.

Towards fulfilling this mission, Sanraj Polyprinters recently made a significant strategic move by investing in the most advanced blown film line of its kind in India – a W&H VAREX ll blown film line with the Easy2Change option for product changeovers with precision that cut the changeover time by half. The line will be commissioned at the Rajkot facility at the end of the year 2024. The investment decision signifies more than just an equipment upgrade; it underscores the company’s strong commitment to delivering superior-quality packaging solutions and maintaining a competitive technological edge in the industry.

W&H VAREX ll is based on a modular concept that allows almost unlimited configuration options

Our decision to integrate the new W&H VAREX ll machine into our operations isn’t merely about technological advancement. It represents our strategic initiative to enhance customer service by delivering packaging solutions that are not only visually appealing but also align with sustainable practices,” says Jayesh Kansagra, CEO of Sanraj Polyprinters.

The key to automation is precision and material savings in the least time

The W&H VAREX ll machine is a pathbreaking blown film line known for its productivity, flexibility, ergonomics, and sustainability. The equipment offers unparalleled film quality, high output rates, and versatility in accommodating a wide range of applications, with the least waste in raw material. It is well-known that the main cost of producing high-quality film is that of polymers and resins. The Varex II, with its high level of automation options, was already technologically advanced, and with the addition of W&H’s Easy2Change module, it distances itself further from other available options.

The new Easy2 Change assistance module can be seen as an expert system or as intelligent automation, which supports the operator during every step of a product changeover for precise and highly repeatable performance. With its intuitive HMI, the operator maintains full transparency and control throughout the changeover while the innovative technology detects the bubble shape and frostline, ensuring reproducible high film quality. If compared to an experienced operator, the number of necessary clicks for a product change is reduced by more than 70 % and the time needed is cut by more than half. W&H claims, “All that with an absolute certainty that no errors are made.”

At W&H, we are very thankful for the valued business and the trust shown in us by Sanraj Polyprinters. By investing in cutting-edge technology, it is not just staying current but also pioneering a new standard of excellence. The new EASY2Change module will help take performance benchmarks to new heights,” says, W&H India’s Debarun Talukdar.
