Prakash Shrink Pack India is a leading manufacturer, supplier, and exporter of multicolored shrink labels, BOPP wrap-around labels, PVC shrink film sleeves, and pouches. With state-of-art machinery from India and Taiwan for all stages of production at its two units in Outer Delhi’s Narela and the third new plant in Kundli near Sonipat in the Delhi-NCR, the company’s annual flexible material production capacity goes up to 2400 metric tons.

The company manufactures its products under the guidance of expert professionals using advanced machines – keeping in mind the requirements of its clients. In an interaction with Packaging South Asia, Vishal Bansal and Varun Gupta, directors, spoke at length about how they started from zero in 2003, under the guidance of Shri Ved Prakash Gupta, to the commissioning of the company’s third production facility in 2023.

“Our products are applicable in the automobile, pharmaceutical, electrical, and food industries and are available at the most affordable rate. We carry out the entire manufacturing process – right from the procurement of raw materials, manufacturing, and delivering the products to our clients. We manufacture at our large unit that is well-equipped with fully advanced technology and the latest machines,” Bansal says.

Bansal said the company updates its machines from time to time for a hassle-free performance and stores the products at a large warehousing facility. “The warehousing unit is well-connected to a transport network, which helps us to deliver the products to our clients within the stipulated time. We manufacture the products using high-quality raw materials sourced from leading and reliable vendors, as per international standards. Our professionals study the market to analyze the latest trends to cater to the demands of clients.”

According to Bansal, Prakash Shrink Pack achieved its first major milestone in 2008 by enhancing its production capacity and clientele reception. “In 2008, our name became synonymous with industry giants as we were among the few with a production capacity of 200 metric tons in North India in shrink sleeves. Achieving this made us well-known in the market. With increasing demand, we decided to add to our production and product portfolio. We realized that we were reaching a saturation point with shrink sleeves and ventured into label printing – beginning with a few outsourced projects to help us learn and understand this complex market. We installed our first Polygraph press in 2012, and a Kohli press in 2017. In 2018, we installed Pelican machinery including its gravure press. We added another Pelican press in 2022.”

“We didn’t want to compromise on technology at any point in our operations. When we were thinking of a third press, our choice of a Pelican was quite sudden. A business colleague suggested a visit to Pelican. We liked how Pelican’s manufacturing operations worked in an organized and supervised fashion. Our meeting with Bharat Shah convinced us that Pelican was the machine we wanted at our facility. Without any further ado, the deal was struck.”

“Over the years, our relationship only grew with Pelican as they are always available whenever we need any form of support. A second fully automatic and high-speed 9-color Pelican Solomark 6450 rotogravure printing machine was installed at our new Kundli facility in 2022,” said Varun Gupta, director.

“We at Prakash Shrink Pack India have delivered quality products to our clients across India and abroad, setting high standards in the packaging and labeling industry. Our continuous supervision of all products manufactured at our sites and adherence to production norms is a significant process. Right from the procurement of the raw material to the delivery of the finished goods, the manufacturing process undergoes thorough quality and inspection assessments – making sure the best of our products reach our clients,” Gupta adds.
