Noida-based Creative Graphics has acquired Colourdot in Chennai, one of the oldest and most established flexographic plate trade houses in the country. Colourdot will be absorbed by Creative Graphic’s group company, Tanushi Industries. The acquisition and the takeover of operations became operative on 10 February 2017.

Colourdot was established and run by DT Bakshi and his brother who in consideration of their age have decided to retire from the business. In order to avoid any break in service to their long-standing customers and employees they have sold their business to Creative Graphics-Tanushi Industries. Deepanshu Goel of Creative Graphics plans to grow and expand the flexographic plate business in South India which has seen a strong influx of both label and wide web flexo CI presses in the past year. Goel’s plans include investments in the latest flexographic laser imaging devices and other ancillary equipment and prepress software similar to what the company already has in its Noida and Mumbai plants.

The Colordot name and premises are not being sold to Creative-Tanushi Industries which will however continue to operate from the old Colordot premises until it needs more space or acquires its own premises. RS Bakshi has sent a very gracious letter to all his clients with all the details to help in the smooth transition in services to be provided by Tanushi industries. Deepanshu Goel is keen to assure all old and new clients, “We are committed to provide the best flexo plates to all the old and new clients in South India. We can assure them that we will uphold the best business practices of the industry and supply flexo plates of the highest quality that comply with global standards.”
