The winter months are usually the hottest as far as exhibitions and trade fairs are considered in the printing and packaging industry and it is turning out to be no different this year. Printers and converters are already preparing and taking time out of their busy schedules to attend the shows but even if you cannot for any reason, there is no reason to despair.

IPP Group which comprises two monthly magazines –Packaging South Asia and Indian Printer &Publisher – continues to cover major trade fairs in India and around the world and this year, the season is just getting warmed up. To enhance and add value to your reading experience, this year we have organized one of the most exhaustive and skilled ensemble editorially to attend to your needs. Just to add to your information, Amy Munice is our US-based correspondent who attends and reports from trade fairs in the US, and you can read her coverage of the first part of Pack Expo from Las Vegas and Graph Expo from Chicago. Joanne Hunter is our Europe-based correspondent who attends and writes about events and shows in Europe and even in Asia. She will be attending Japan Pack show in Tokyo to be held from 13 to16 October as well as the Digital Print for Packaging conference in Berlin, Germany, on 8 and 9 December. Ron Augustin is our European editor who along with Nessan Cleary, contributor, and Naresh Khanna, our editor, is covering and reporting from Labelexpo Brussels in Europeaswespeak. Last month, Naresh Khanna visited the IGAS show at Tokyo, Japan, the report of which you can read right here in this issue.

Of course, the Indian exhibitions are also lined up from this month, starting with the IndiaCorr Expo atGreaterNoida,NCRDelhifrom6 to 8October and the IndPack 2015 show at Mumbai from 8 to 11Octoberwhichwill also be covered. The other major Indian show is Pamex 2015 which will be held from 9 to 12 December in Mumbai of which you can expect a comprehensive review as well.

And, next year, there is the Olympics of the print and packaging industry – drupa 2016 – to be held in Dusseldorf, Germany from 31 May to 10 June of which you will have an exhaust- ive coverage. In fact, our drupa coverage starts from February itself, when we will be attending the pre-show conference where we would be shown glimpses and highlights of the show.
