To strengthen its social and ethical responsibilities, Mumbai-based Brilliant Polymers recently inaugurated Brilliant Academy, which will be a knowledge sharing platforms for packaging students as well as working professionals. The academy will help impart knowledge about topics such as adhesives manufacturing, food safety, conversion, packaging development and regulatory compliances, among others. This will be implemented by means of factory visits as well as seminars at different locations.

As a start, a special one-day seminar for SIES School of Packaging students was organized on 25 April 2018 and 4 May 2018, in two batches. These seminars were conducted to educate the students about usage of adhesives in flexible packaging applications. Brilliant Polymers plans to arrange such visits in future as this will help students grasp a feel for their future working environment.

A factory visit was also under the guidance of Vishwanath Pai, general manager – production, Brilliant polymers. Subray Prabhu, technical services manager, Brilliant Polymers conducted a technical session.
