Esko showed its recently launched digital flexo imager, the XPS Crystal. This is a product that is helpful for both flexo plate trade shops as well as label converters – one that comes with a combination of both software and hardware. Through this machine, the company has come up with an integrated solution which helps its customers achieve an efficient workflow to produce data files which can further be used on press by the label convertors.
The latest model of the XPS Crystal was launched at Labelexpo Europe, earlier this year. “This is the latest offering from Esko. The machine is allowing us to produce extremely great results with the imaged flexo plates in terms of image quality, ink density and plate longevity on the press. We’ve even put on display some Made in India samples for the customers to view. We’re quite optimistic that this technology will be received very well by the market,” said John Winderam, general manager, South East Asia and South Asia, Esko.
As we wrote in the November issue of Packaging South Asia, the XPS Crystal has already been sold to Afflatus Gravures based in Noida. “The demand in India is extremely good. This year has been the most rewarding for us so far and we have achieved some phenomenal results. We think that we’re already market leaders in all areas of our business, and the prepress software side in particular. Labelexpo has given us an opportunity to reach out to the Indian customers. Witnessing the response we’ve received throughout the year, we’re extremely optimistic about the event and look forward to closing some deals here at Labelexpo,” Winderam shared.
