Taiyo STF 340 flexo press

Mumbai-based Standard Printers Providers is a supplier of several solutions for the printing and packing industry. These include narrow web offset and label presses amongst others. At Pamex 2017, the company highlighted label printing solutions from Japan’s Taiyo mainly talking to label printers about Taiyo’s label presses. Apart from highlighting and explaining the features of the Taiyo STF 340 and STF 460 narrow web flexo presses, Standard promoted Taiyo’s TLC 250 central impression drum label printing press.

The STF 340 is a narrow web flexo press which can handle paper, films and light cartons. With a maximum web width of 340mm, the STF 340 runs at a speed of 150 meters a minute. It can be used to print self-adhesive labels, shrink sleeves, tube laminates and cartons. The Taiyo STF 460 model is wider at 460 mm and in keeping with the current trend of using slightly wider flexo label presses for in-mould labels, shrink wrap labels and cartons.

The Taiyo TLC 250 label printing press features central impression drum with 6-color UV letterpress printing, UV flexo printing, a varnishing unit and options of both flat-bed and rotary die-cutting units.  With web widths up to 260mm, it runs at a speed of 120 meters a minute.

“Pamex 2017 was a good event for us. We interacted with some quality visitors from across the country. The fact that Pamex saw visitors from so many parts of the country is a great achievement for the event organizers,” says Gaurav Sachdev of Standard Printers Providers.

Although, 2017 saw some hiccups in the market due to demonetization and GST implementation, the overall sentiment in the label industry was and is positive according to Sachdev. He expects the label industry to grow by 15% in the next year. “With growth estimate soaring for next year, we will concentrate on promoting the recent launches of our narrow web flexo presses,” he says.
