During Jayesh Patel’s visit to China in last October, he interacted with Robus India sales team. According to him, the experience-rich team of Robus India, explained about the modifications in the machine pretty well. He also lauded the service support of Robus India adding that the new machine has helped the company associate with many new printers across the city.

“Someone rightly said that packaging is the most important tool for selling a product. Indian packaging industry will see notable growth in 2016 – 2021 period. It is predicted to grow at a CAGR of 9.2% during this period as compared to 6.2% CAGR during 2011 – 2016. This growth may be heavily influenced by changing demographics such as growing urbanization and rising proportion of middle class customers,” adds Patel.
“Observing the growth in demand for packaging, we decided to upgrade our existing technology. Postpress is one of the most important parameters after designing and printing. The packaging industry is dominated by Indian machines which have quite a few limitations. In this context, we decided to purchase the machine from Robus India,” explains Patel.
Recession is upsetting various industries including packaging. It is extremely important for packaging converters to upgrade the technology and offer novel solutions. “The benefits of technology from JC – 1100, such as speed and accuracy has helped us gain new customers and grow our business. We first came across the machine during our last visit to China. After coming back, we decided to finalize it and quickly fininshed all the formalities.
“We started the machine in January. We converted 25 lakh boxes in January on the new machine, 24 lakh boxes in February and had converted and supplied close to 20 lakh boxes by 21 March 2020. Due to the lockdown from 22 March to 14 April, we face a significant loss. It may also impact our business beyond the monetary loss. I think the whole situation will become clearer once the lockdown is lifted,” Patel concludes.
