In a deal finalized at Monotech’s stand at Labelexpo India 2016, Patparganjbased offset prepress bureau Guru Ji Graphics invested in a Kodak Flexcel NX flexo CtP for its Noida plant. Monotech, which is a representative for Kodak Flexcel CtP, will supply the CtP system to Guru Ji Graphics. With this, the total number of installations of Kodak Flexcel NX flexo CtP in India will now go up to two dozens.
Vimal Paliwal, managing partner, Guru Ji Graphics said, “We have been into prepress offset bureau for the last 15 years. With this investment, our aim is to become a packaging prepress bureau as well, since our existing offset customers are moving towards narrow-web flexo. We have also seen that a number of new players are now entering the narrow-web flexo printing business in Delhi-NCR. We want to exploit this development in the market as there is a growing demand for prepress service. The label market is a very competitive one. However, our focus on quality and innovation will help us survive in such a hyper-competitive market.”
According to Kodak, the Flexcel NX flexo CtP can help reduce ink and substrate waste by 20% while makeready time will go down by 10%. The plates also last 2 to 5 times longer. Kodak’s proprietary lamination process during platemaking enables perfect image reproduction on the Flexcel NX Plate. The original digital file is consistently and faithfully reproduced, pixel for pixel, and superior flat top dots are formed. With a proven-to-perform dot profile that includes a sturdy base and strong shoulders, the final plates are optimized for consistent print performance, resistant to changes in impression and wear from substrate or cleaning.
