Bosch in India has continuously broadened the scope of its applications. “Bosch Packaging Technology has transformed from being a standalone machine supplier to a single-source solutions provider. It delivers complete single machine or line solutions from processing through to end-of-line packaging and services in line with the needs of the customer,” said Kurt Stefan Klaiber, responsible for Bosch Packaging Technology in Asia.
Automation is a trend that will bring about visible changes through continuous innovation, improvement and ‘out of the box’ thinking. Bosch has been able to develop and provide solutions tailored to the needs of the market. The company has directed its efforts on improving product quality and increasing production efficiency. An example of this would be the short changeover times.
In 2012, Bosch inaugurated its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Verna, Goa. With a built-up area of 7,150 square metres, the plant houses, besides technology manufacturing, the latest testing infrastructure. Customers are offered a sophisticated testing environment and equipment to test product packaging and parts. The plant can also accommodate the training needs of both internal and external customers who are keen on familiarizing themselves with operation and maintenance of packaging machines.
Associates can help Bosch Packaging India achieve more milestones. “With over 120 associates, Bosch’s Packaging Technology business in India is competent at handling standalone and system solution projects. We are continuously working towards the improvement of our associates’ capability,” said Ashok Gourish, head of Bosch Packaging Technology in India.
Packaging South Asia is the cooperating media partner for drupa 2016 which is scheduled to be held from 31 May to 10 June at Dusseldorf, Germany.
