For Flexo Image Graphics (FIG), the financial year 2016–17 has been a great success so far in terms of press sales. The company, which celebrated its 16th anniversary on 16 November 2016, at the Sheraton Hotel, New Delhi, has been truly optimistic in terms of the
growth chart they plan to scale.
The celebration at Sheraton was attended by top label converters, suppliers and OEM partners alike. Mike Russell, international sales director for Mark Andy, was alongside Gourav Roy, managing director at FIG, to grace the occasion. Speaking at the event, Roy said, “We often come across enquires from customers when the capital purchase power of a new equipment does not fall in line with their investments. This made us come up with the idea of having a refurbishing and training centre. We have already finalized the space for the same and it will come into operation in 2017.”
According to Roy, FIG will also bring in presses from its existing customers and rebuild them by cleaning, overhauling and retrofitting to enhance the productivity of the presses. Roy said, “We are also planning to start buy-back schemes in which we will accept pre-owned equipment and provide credit toward the purchase of new equipment.” In addition, FIG plans to launch a customer portal where one can access the service reports of their machine, quotations issued, order status and progress of orders for parts and machines online. The portal will act as a one-stop point for any queries related to spare parts, service visits and other related issues. The interface will also allow users to look for their choice of machine with their preferred configuration. “Login credentials to access the portal will be shared with our existing customer base from January 2017. We are transforming the way we operate to continuously improve our capability to serve our customers better,” shared Roy.
Started in 2000 in Delhi, FIG has operations across India with three offices in Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai. The installation base of Mark Andy 2200 is the highest with 102 presses installed across India. In 2009, FIG tied up with Xeikon to make a debut in the digital industry and sold its first Xeikon machine in 2012. Till date four Xeikon presses have been installed in India. Recently, FIG further expanded its product line by joining hands with Label Traxx, DMS and Rhyguan to represent their products in India.
