Toyo Ink Group is displaying the Flash Dry FL Kaleido series of UV-curable flexo inks at drupa

Toyo Ink, Toyo Ink Arets and Toyo-Morton are exhibiting together at drupa 2016 (Hall 4 Stand B39). The three firms are jointly showcasing a wide range of printing and packaging solutions designed to help brand owners and package printers reduce wastage throughout the supply chain, lesson environmental risks, enhance food safety and achieve uniform packaging quality worldwide. Moreover, the Flash Dry FL Kaleido series of UV-curable flexo inks is being displayed at the Toyo Ink Group stand.

Water-based flexo solution

Toyo Ink will also spotlight its Lioflex Aqua Liona NF series of flexo inks, which makes its world debut at drupa, to address the growing demand for water-based products in flexible packaging applications. Once considered impossible to achieve using water-based inks, the newly developed flexo ink series enables high-speed printing at a maximum speed of 500 metres a minute. Printed samples will be displayed at the Toyo Ink Group stand. In addition, live printing demonstration featuring this new ink system will take place at Windmöller & Hölscher’s technology centre in Lengerich on 2 and 3 June.

New developments in food packaging

Visitors also expect to find its next-generation lineup of inks and coatings specially designed for the food packaging market. Steraplast Food and Steracup Plus series of specialty inks and coatings from Toyo Ink Arets meet the increasing demand from package printers and brand owners for superior image resolution, enhanced printability, high productivity in addition to being safe for food packaging use.

DrupaPackage printers and brand owners looking for short-run solutions for their label and narrow web printing needs can find out more at the stand about Toyo ink Arets’ flagship solution for UV flexo printing, Steraflex. The series exhibits an excellent balance of rheology with other characteristics, bringing high print imaging, greater efficiency and economy to the flexo printing operation. The low migration and low odour variation, Steraflex Food, is specially formulated to support food label printers and packaging converters achieve desired print performance results.

At drupa 2016, Toyo-Morton will also introduce a new lineup of solvent- and water-based laminating adhesive solutions for packaging applications. Toyo Ink, ESI to conduct EB Tech seminar

Toyo Ink is organizing a seminar highlighting advances in EB technology as a solution for the flexible packaging industry. One of the topics will be recent advancements in EB curable flexo inks. Distinguished speakers from Toyo Ink, UTECO, and ESI will deliver presentations on the latest generation of inks, presses, and EB curing equipment for the flexible packaging market. Representatives from Nestle headquarters will also present their views and perspectives on EB curing technology at the seminars on 1, 3 and 8 June.
